It’s an exciting day when you get your SmileDirectClub aligners delivered. Your Smile JourneyTM now feels real, but you may feel a little nervous.
Don’t worry, you’re not on your own. As part of your Smile Journey, you’ll have regular virtual Smile Check-insTM throughout your aligner treatment.
Why do you need SmileDirectClub aligner check-ins?
Smile Check-ins take place with your treating doctor and ensure your aligners fit properly and your teeth are moving as expected, so you end up with a smile you’ll be proud to show off.
There is no extra cost – these are included in your journey.
How often will you need to check in?
SmileDirectClub schedules your virtual Smile Check-ins for you. Your first check-in will occur around 7 to 8 weeks into your treatment.
From then on, check-ins are part of your treatment plan. As one aspect of these virtual visits, you’ll upload pictures to help track your progress.
You don’t have to wait until your check-in if you have questions or concerns. SmileDirectClub has 24/7 support, via email, phone, chat, or video chat.
Why regular dental appointments matter
SmileDirect check-ins aren’t a replacement for preventive care. Regular dental appointments are part of good oral hygiene, and they go hand in hand with your SmileDirectClub aligner check-ins. They will make sure that your new smile stays healthy and looking good long after your treatment plan is complete.
