You’ve ordered your aligners and are on your way to a straighter smile. Yay! Now comes the hardest part: waiting for your aligners to arrive.
Each of your aligners is custom-made specially for your smile plan, and you’ll receive all the aligners in your plan at one time to make your smile journey as easy as possible. And in 3-4 weeks, they’ll be ready to go on your doorstep.
We know you’re excited to get started, so here are a few things you can do while you wait for your aligners. Get ready to start straightening.
Once you begin wearing your aligners, you’ll want to pack a little travel kit with all the essentials – anything you might need throughout the day. Start getting this ready now, so you’ll have it when you need it. (Not sure what to pack? Find our list of travel kit must-haves here.)
Nothing will get you more excited than checking out success stories and before and after photos from our Club members. Follow us on Instagram, if you aren’t already, for your daily dose of inspiration. Pretty soon, you’ll be showing off your own smile selfies (or toothies, as we like to call them).
Read up on helpful tips and tricks before you start wearing your aligners. Here are 7 things you need to know before starting SmileDirectClub, and step-by-step instructions for how to clean your aligners. Did you know you should be cleaning them every day?
While you’re at it, don’t forget to join the club on social media. We’re constantly posting advice, giveaways, and announcements on Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, Snapchat, and more. Let’s be friends.
Once you start wearing your aligners, you’ll want to brush and floss your teeth after every meal or snack. If you’re not a regular flosser, start small by getting into the habit of flossing every day when you brush your teeth before leaving the house or going to bed.
We’re here for you. Our Customer Care team is available via chat, email, phone, and social media 23/7 to answer any questions you might have. The Dental team is also here to talk you through anything more clinical. Don’t be shy. If you’ve got questions, we’ve got answers.
Another thing you can do while you’re waiting for your aligners is mark your calendar to order retainers. We recommend ordering retainers 4-5 weeks before treatment is complete to ensure they arrive in time, so mark your calendar now so you don’t forget later. You’ll want to have your retainers right when you finish your last set of aligners to preserve your beautiful new smile.
Welcome to the Club. We can’t wait to see that new grin.
