SmileDirectClub Sponsors Global Dental Relief 2016 Kenya Clinic

The 2016 Global Dental Relief Kenya clinic is happening this January, and already 646 children have received much-needed dental care, thanks in part to donations made as a result of your aligner treatment plan purchases. The clinic will run from January 22 to February 3, 2016.

With the SmileDirectClub one-for-one dental care program, for every aligner treatment plan purchased, we donate one dental clinic visit to a child in Kenya through Global Dental Relief. Our partnership with Global Dental Relief started in October 2015. We wanted to say thanks to our customers for making it possible! During their visits, children are able to get the cleanings, sealants, fluoride and tooth extractions they need for a healthy mouth.

Global Dental Relief, which was founded in 2001, has served over 108,000 children thanks to more than 1,500 volunteers and over $22 million in donated care. The organization works with volunteer dentists, hygienists, assistants and non-dental volunteers to provide treatment and preventive care in dental clinics serving children in schools, orphanages and remote villages in Nepal, India, Cambodia, Guatemala and Kenya. In Kenya alone, over 4,785 children have been served since 2013.

A child with a healthy smile is much more likely to have a healthy life. Without proper care, children can develop gum disease, bone loss and infections. They struggle with sleeping, eating and school work. They lose their teeth, their smiles, their self-esteem. With your help, we can get them the care they need. One aligner treatment for one dental visit. Thanks to you, it’s that simple.
