If the dental team advises you to trim and file your aligners, Dr. Riddhi suggests:

1. Use cuticle scissors, so you can make the smallest trim possible.
2. Trim as per the directions of the dental team, you can request a video call with them to walk you through it.
3. Once trimmed, use your emery board to file that area. Remember to buff in the same direction to reduce rough edges!

Remember: you can always take off, but you can’t put any back! So, take it slow while trimming.
